A run for Breast Cancer
For the fourth year in a row, we organized a run to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year’s race took place at the municipal campsite of Montoire-sur-le-Loir on the 29th of September.
Many of our students are studying to work with vulnerable people. We believe it is very important to have them involved in causes like this one. Participating in such events helps them understand the significance of community engagement and support.
Everyone, including middle school and high school students, participated in the run against cancer. Donations were made to support Cancer Research, demonstrating our community’s commitment to fighting this disease. A presentation on breast and womb cancers was also conducted. It raised awareness among young people and educated them on important health issues.
We shared this event with several other groups. Students and staff from Hospitalet and St-Julien primary schools joined us. Autistic individuals from the Défi organization also participated. This diverse participation highlighted the event’s inclusive nature and strengthened the sense of community.
A big thanks goes to Ligue Cancer 41 and the local council for their invaluable assistance in organizing the event. Their support was crucial in making the day a success. They ensured that the message of awareness reached a wide audience.
Events like this raise funds for a worthy cause and foster a spirit of solidarity and cooperation among participants. By coming together to support breast cancer awareness, we reinforce the importance of health education and community involvement.
Our students’ enthusiastic participation and the collaboration with other local groups made this year’s run a memorable and impactful event. We look forward to continuing this tradition and making a difference in the fight against cancer.
